My Reader Thoughts:
The bright colors are eye-catching and the characters are adorable. I like how the emotions described progress throughout the book. Plus, a very sweet ending. Definitely a book that will be read more than once.
My Writer Thoughts:
I liked the structure used for each page spread. An emotion, a sentence, and an illustration that matches that emotion and sentence. Young readers can learn about emotions, but also about different colors. I was curious to see how it’d end and I was delighted when I got to the last page. Taking notes for my own board book ideas…
My Teacher Thoughts:
Definitely a book that can be used in the Pre-K and Kindergarten classroom. A wonderful resource for teaching young children about their emotions and how to express them. Both negative and positive emotions are included, which is a bonus.
